ILGLC Announces 2025 Grazing Conference, Opens Nominations for 2025 Master Grazier Awards

The Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition (ILGLC) has announced it will host its second annual grazing conference on March 11 and 12, 2025 at the Northfield Inn, Suites & Conference Center in Springfield, Illinois. The conference will again include recognition of a cohort of Master Graziers, annual awards recognizing Illinois livestock producers with outstanding grazing operations who work diligently to promote the grazing industry through their production skills and activities.

“The Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition is again excited to provide producers an opportunity to come together at our 2025 grazing conference,” said Christian Lovell, Executive Director of the Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition. “As one of the largest grazing events of the year, the conference is a fitting backdrop to recognize the recipients of our Master Grazier award. ILGLC Master Graziers represent the very best of our industry, and showcase how good grazing adds value to operations and local communities. We encourage everyone with an outstanding grazier in mind to submit a nomination.”

ILGLC seeks to promote improved grazing management and build stronger, more resilient agricultural systems across the state. By recognizing the state’s top graziers, the Master Grazier Award aims to inspire others and advance the practice of grazing management as a core element of profitable livestock systems.

Nominations are open until February 1, 2025, and can be submitted by anyone who knows a worthy candidate. Self-nominations are also welcomed. For more information on the criteria and to submit a nomination, please visit https://www.ilgrazinglands.org/master-grazier-awards.

Award winners will receive statewide recognition and be celebrated at ILGLC’s Annual Conference in 2025.
