The Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition proudly recognized Jim Burrus as a 2024 Master Grazier, honoring the late farmer’s exceptional contributions to sustainable grazing and the agricultural community.

ILGLC has announced it will host its second annual grazing conference on March 11 and 12, 2025 in Springfield, Illinois. The conference will again include recognition of a cohort of Master Graziers.

Today, the Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition (ILGLC) and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin announced that the farmer-led nonprofit organization will receive a $923,458 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to advance grazing lands conservation throughout Illinois.

The Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition (ILGLC) is excited to announce two upcoming grazing schools in September 2024.

These free on-farm events are hosted throughout the state of Illinois to give land and livestock owners a chance to learn about regenerative grazing practices and see what is working for others in their region.
